Goodbye Cabo Frio, Nova Friburgo is the next city on the list. We were told that Friburgo is the place for lingerie. As we crossed the city limits, the first thing we see is a row of some 30 or so lingerie shops. I was dropped off at a place called Gigalink. Gigalink is an internet provider and a company owned by my host family. Osvaldo took me to his home for lunch with the family. Steak, rice, salad, potatoes and dessert of course. He and Carla headed back to work and his oldest Neto took me around to see some sights. We visited the Country Club which was once a home and is now a private park. From there we went to spot that overlooked the city and was sort of an area attraction. It was on the side of a mountain and had a bowling alley, video games and rides. You could even take a chair lift from a park downtown to the attraction and then another to the top of the mountain. The weather was iffy, so we drove up to the midpoint and decided not to go on to the top. We then visit Neto’s school, beautiful in its own right. Built in the 1800’s, it was outstanding. Back to the house for a shower and to prepare for the nights Rotary presentation. I was really looking forward to this one. Wallace, Marcella & Daniele attended the meeting. They are such great people and it is always fun to see them. My host is having a party tomorrow, Daniele & Wallace will be there, but Marcella will be off celebrating her birthday. Get to meet Danielle’s husband as well. Neto is promising me the best BBQ, so we shall see. See ya, See ya!!!
